CNC Machinist – Precision Grinding – 2nd Shift

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its Westminster, SC facility on the 2nd shift. You will operate and program advanced CNC grinding equipment to produce high‑quality cutting tools while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, program, and run CNC grinding and manufacturing equipment.
• Operate centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, CNC tool grinders, cut‑off machines, and precision measuring devices.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for tool production.
• Enter quality, SPC, production, and other required data into company systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with major equipment repairs.
• Achieve productivity, machine utilization, and cycle‑time targets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to understand workflow impact and production priorities.
• 1‑3 years experience with CNC machines in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
