CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift Production

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a CNC Machinist to join its Westminster, SC manufacturing facility on the 2nd shift. The role involves setting up, programming, and operating a variety of CNC grinding equipment to produce high‑precision cutting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Enter quality, SPC, production, and other data into company systems.
• Perform routine and primary maintenance on assigned CNC equipment and assist with major repairs.
• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for grinding machines.
• Operate centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, cut‑off machines, CNC tool grinders, and related measuring instruments.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Achieve cycle‑time, productivity, and machine utilization targets while complying with safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience working with CNC machines in a mechanical or process environment.
• Strong work ethic, commitment to quality and safety, and understanding of workflow impact.
• Current authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
