CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for its second‑shift machine shop. The role focuses on CAM programming, fixturing, and manufacturing low‑volume, complex parts in a fast‑paced R&D environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret engineered drawings and CAD models to produce manufacturable parts.
• Develop CAM programs and design fixtures and tools for CNC machines.
• Set up CNC machines, run production runs, and perform finished part inspection.
• Collaborate with design engineers to answer manufacturability questions.

Required profile

• Willingness to work second shift (four 10‑hour or five 8‑hour shifts).
• Minimum 3 years CNC machining experience, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Experience with 5‑axis programming is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in a moderate‑noise shop.

Required skills

• CNC programming and operation (Okuma, HAAS, CR Onsrud, DMG Mori preferred).
• CAM software proficiency, especially Fusion 360.
• Manual milling and turning.
• Fixture design and efficient CNC machine setup.
