About the role

NXP is hiring a CMP Maintenance Equipment Technician in Austin, Texas. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment inside a cleanroom, supporting the CMP equipment team. It is a factory-based position requiring cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment.

Key responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CMP fab equipment
Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to eliminate recurring tool failures
Improve system performance to meet process requirements and increase tool reliability
Monitor, analyze and interpret tool performance data
Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures
Partner with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects
Communicate equipment status clearly during daily verbal handover meetings
Provide clear, concise written communication to engineers and technicians across shifts
