CMM Operator

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a CMM Operator to perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components, support machining processes, and contribute to the development of inspection solutions in a fast‑growing electric aviation company.

Key responsibilities

• Use coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect aerospace parts and validate CMM programs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering to improve inspection processes.
• Provide technical expertise for machining process development and quality verification.
• Generate formatted inspection reports for engineering, CNC programs, and operators.
• Re‑validate legacy CMM programs and develop probing and fixturing solutions.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of quality control experience in aerospace or a comparable industry.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a manufacturing environment using required PPE.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift 50 lb, and meet OSHA visual acuity standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GD&T (ASME Y14.5‑2018) and hand gages (micrometers, dial indicators, profilometers).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 and AS9100 standards.
• Familiarity with CNC CMMs and CMM software such as Calypso, Polyworks, PC‑DMIS.
• Experience in tooling and fixturing design and using CAD models for inspection.
