Cloud Systems Administrator (National Security Mission)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Cloud Systems Administrator in Herndon to support a National Security mission. The role oversees system administration, integration, maintenance and customer support on the customer's Enterprise Development, Test and Production systems, with a special emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS), CGI Momentum, IBM Cognos and corporate financial systems. The position requires a Top Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, configure and maintain cloud applications on Windows and Linux using EC2, EBS, ELB, S3 and RDS, provision stable AMIs and troubleshoot.
• Manage and upgrade financial and business analytics applications and optimize their configuration.
• Oversee daily pay, benefits, time and labor files, job announcements and batch processes.
• Resolve complex system failures (applications, PKI, security, batch processes) and handle incident tickets per established procedures and AQLs.
• Automate production processes via cloud services, applications, operating systems and scripting.
• Improve performance, availability and security, and carry out infrastructure changes such as storage, load balancing and instance tuning with zero downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance with customer and program offices, and monitor logs to meet NIST and IC compliance.
• Perform backups and restores, and maintain user accounts and file systems.

Required profile

• BS degree in CS, IS, engineering or another technical discipline, with five years of experience.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, IT security, compute, storage and transport.
• Expertise in Windows and Linux servers.
• Available for after-hours and on-call support, able to work independently and within a team under a technical subject matter expert.
• TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass a polygraph.
