Cloud Media Services Intern

About the role

Tencent Cloud Media Service, launched in 2022, is an international audio and video brand offering a one-stop media solution: the basic media processing infrastructure (MPS) with encoders, AI-based media enhancement and cloud real-time rendering and transmission, plus live streaming solutions for OTT, e-commerce, entertainment, e-sports and sports. As an intern you will work closely with the regional sales team as the point of contact for customers in the audio and video field.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for pre-sales consultations and proof-of-concept verification, maintain customer relationships and help the business team achieve its goals.
• Support the regional architecture team in analysing customers' media technology architecture and needs, and provide industry solutions and case studies for international markets such as OTT, social media, gaming, education and business.
• Communicate customer and industry requirements to the product development team.
• Take part in public online and offline product and industry presentations to share Tencent's media capabilities and insights.
• Collaborate with channel and marketing teams to support regional ecosystem partners, including channel empowerment training, workshops and Media Demo Day.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT, Cloud Computing or a related field.
• Familiarity with the audio and video field, such as live streaming, video on demand, encoding/decoding and network transmission.
• Strong customer-oriented work skills and the ability to communicate with technical decision-makers.
• Experience in related industries or with public clouds, and excellent cross-cultural communication skills, are a plus.

What we offer

• Expected base pay of $27.12 to $51.93 per hour, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
• 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays per year.
