Cloud Cost Optimization Program Manager

About the role

Virtasant is seeking a senior Cloud Cost Optimization Program Manager to lead a large‑scale FinOps initiative for a Fortune 50 technology client. The role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, financial operations, data analysis, and technical program management, driving measurable cost savings across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize cloud cost‑saving opportunities in partnership with Cloud Service Providers and engineering teams.
• Design, execute, and monitor optimization initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Establish scalable cloud cost governance processes and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate financial impact and progress.
• Turn complex usage data into actionable recommendations and track key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in FinOps or cloud cost management within large, complex environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across technical and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated success delivering measurable cost reductions at scale.
