Clinical Trials Activation Analyst 2

About the role

The Department of Clinical Trials Budgeting & Activation at the University of Miami is hiring a full‑time Clinical Trials Activation Analyst 2. The position is hybrid, based at the Don Soffer Clinical Research Center in Miami, and focuses on reviewing and negotiating financial provisions for sponsored clinical research.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, negotiate and endorse financial provisions of clinical research agreements, proposals and awards to ensure compliance with University policies, Uniform Guidance and federal/state regulations.
• Develop Medicare Coverage Analyses for applicable studies and ensure fiscally sound budgeting and billing compliance.
• Collaborate with principal investigators, compliance office, IRB, risk management, Jackson Health System Clinical Trials Office and other stakeholders to manage sponsored projects efficiently.
• Provide guidance to faculty and staff on sponsor policies, government regulations and contract terms.
• Maintain transparent operations, report progress to Miller School of Medicine leadership and support pre‑ and post‑award activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of experience in clinical research budgeting, Medicare billing or related financial administration.
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency with office software and strong written and verbal communication skills.
