Clinical Team Lead – START Program

About the role

The Clinical Team Lead will oversee the START clinical coordinators within the Office of Developmental Supports at Allegheny County DHS. This full‑time, onsite role provides supervisory support, ensures program fidelity, and maintains strong community partnerships for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative supervision and daily clinical triage for START Clinical Coordinators.
• Maintain and develop relationships with community partners, system providers, families, and caregivers.
• Coordinate training with psychologists, psychiatrists, and community specialists.
• Lead daily triage meetings, referral reviews, and crisis plan development.
• Ensure timely documentation in the SIRS system and adherence to START model guidelines.
• Participate in the START National Training Institute and other collaborative initiatives.
• Maintain a small active caseload (≈5) until coordinator certification is achieved.
• Share on‑call responsibilities and support the team during vacancies.
