Clinical Support Technician – Gastroenterology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Clinical Support Technician 1 provides essential assistance in gastroenterology procedures, ensuring a clean, safe, and well‑stocked environment for patients, physicians, and staff. This full‑time position supports endoscopy services by managing supplies, equipment, and instrument processing in accordance with strict aseptic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and defrost refrigerators, handle dirty linens, and prepare patient carts.
• Clean, process, and disinfect endoscopy instruments and equipment, following leak‑testing protocols.
• Maintain inventories, distribute supplies, and restock procedure rooms for daily cases.
• Transport patients safely and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
• Ensure all equipment is stored in designated areas and uphold quality controls.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, and other staff members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum one year of relevant clinical support experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and commitment to university values.
