Clinical Support Technician 1 – Gastroenterology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Clinical Support Technician 1 provides essential support for gastroenterology procedures, ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for patient care. The role involves maintaining a sterile environment, managing supplies, and assisting with patient transport in a clinical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, defrost, and maintain refrigerators and patient carts.
• Process and disinfect endoscopy instruments, perform pre‑cleaning, leak testing, and proper storage.
• Maintain inventories, obtain and distribute supplies, and keep work areas organized.
• Tear down procedure rooms, restock supplies, and prepare rooms for subsequent cases.
• Transport patients safely using proper techniques.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and follow‑up.
• Adhere to university policies, aseptic techniques, and standard precautions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum one year of relevant clinical support experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure.
