Clinical Research Participant Specialist – Full‑time

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Participant Specialist to support community outreach, recruitment, and enrollment for clinical studies and trials on the Miami campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies for clinical trials across Phase I‑IV.
• Source participants using databases, social media, hospitals, mental‑health clinics, and community programs.
• Prescreen, evaluate, and enroll candidates, completing intake forms and consent documentation.
• Maintain and update the participant database with accurate demographic and eligibility information.
• Serve as primary liaison between referral sources, participants, and the research team.
• Conduct in‑person and telephone interviews, assessments, and marketing presentations.
• Participate in community outreach events and represent the study at conferences as approved.

Required profile

• Experience in participant recruitment, community outreach, or clinical research support.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with referral sources and participants.
• Ability to understand and follow clinical protocols and study specifications.
• Excellent organizational skills for scheduling and database management.
