About the role

The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking an entry‑level Clinical Research Coordinator to support simple clinical research protocols in Miami, FL. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop core research skills while contributing to high‑quality eye‑care studies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chart reviews and pre‑screen participants for study eligibility.
• Maintain enrollment procedures and coordinate routine study activities, including data collection, scheduling appointments, and managing study visits.
• Execute moderate to complex research tests under supervision and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Monitor and report adverse events, protocol deviations, and unanticipated occurrences.
• Ensure compliance with international, national, and local regulatory requirements and maintain study‑specific regulatory binders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in clinical research or related settings.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize under pressure, and discretion handling confidential information.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
