Clinical Research Coordinator 3 – Full‑Time

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Neurology department seeks an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator 3 to join its full‑time team at the UHealth Medical Campus. This senior‑level professional will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of multiple complex clinical research protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the execution of several concurrent clinical research studies from start‑up to close‑out.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and best‑practice manuals in collaboration with the PI and Clinical Research Manager.
• Oversee eligibility screening, participant recruitment, and strategies to improve accrual.
• Manage sample processing, packaging, and shipping in compliance with protocol and regulatory standards.
• Monitor, document, and report unanticipated events and protocol deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior coordinators and ensure adherence to regulatory and sponsor guidelines.

Required profile

• Significant experience coordinating clinical research studies, preferably in a neurology or academic setting.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, IRB processes, and sponsor regulations.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with protocol development and implementation.
• Proficiency in sample handling, processing, and shipping procedures.
• Ability to develop SOPs and training materials.
