Clinical Research Coordinator 3 – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator 3 to lead multiple ophthalmology research protocols. This full‑time position oversees study planning, implementation, monitoring, and close‑out while ensuring regulatory compliance and participant safety.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of several complex clinical research protocols and develop SOPs with guidance from the PI.
• Oversee eligibility screening, recruitment strategies, and participant accrual.
• Manage sample processing, packaging, and shipping in accordance with protocol and regulatory standards.
• Monitor, document, and report unanticipated events and protocol deviations, and develop corrective actions.
• Lead study progress meetings, ensure communication across teams, and keep investigators informed.
• Organize site visits, internal and external audits, and ensure adherence to ethical standards.
• Assist in preparing research reports, peer‑reviewed publications, and dissemination of findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Current Research Coordinator certification (ACRP or SOCRA) with at least 6 months of active status.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical research coordination experience.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze data while handling confidential information with discretion.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and capacity to prioritize work under pressure.
