Clinical Research Coordinator 2 (Hybrid)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth is seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to work in a hybrid setting at the UHealth campus in Deerfield Beach, FL. This mid‑level position supports the planning, implementation, monitoring and close‑out of moderate‑risk clinical research studies, ensuring participant safety and protocol compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with participant recruitment, screening, and retention throughout the study lifecycle.
• Perform study procedures, collect and record data, and manage daily operations of clinical protocols.
• Collect, process, pack, and ship biological specimens in accordance with protocol and regulatory standards.
• Maintain study binders, filings, and documentation per university and department policies.
• Distribute study drug materials under the Principal Investigator’s delegation.
• Monitor, document, and report adverse events and protocol deviations.
• Support protocol amendments, orientation, and in‑service training for research staff.
• Coordinate communications with sponsors, data coordinating centers, compliance monitors and collaborating investigators.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience in clinical research coordination.
• Familiarity with regulatory and sponsor guidelines for human subject research.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary study teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Specimen processing and shipping according to protocol standards.
