About the role

The University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Clinical Program Coordinator for its LASIK Vision Center in Miami. The role supports the development, delivery, and evaluation of health‑promotion and educational programs for patients, while ensuring smooth daily operations and alignment with the institute’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate program effectiveness, analyze results, and recommend actions.
• Coordinate program activities with other departments to maximize efficiency.
• Train, develop, and empower staff to perform their duties effectively.
• Serve as primary contact for funders, advisors, speakers, participants, and volunteers.
• Foster positive relationships with patients and families, maintaining a professional atmosphere.
• Create and distribute program communications such as newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
• Prepare periodic reports, financial statements, and records for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect hospital business information.
• Oversee supply levels in the unit and ensure compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professional composure.
• Effective interpersonal relationship skills and ability to follow instructions.
