Clinical Program Coordinator

About the role

The Clinical Program Coordinator will support the development, organization, production, and evaluation of health‑promotion and educational programs for patients within the Department of Clinical Pathology at the University of Miami. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Miami, FL.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate program effectiveness, analyze results, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Coordinate program activities with other departments to ensure optimum efficiency.
• Train, develop, and empower staff to perform their duties effectively.
• Act as the primary point of contact for funders, advisors, speakers, and participants; recruit participants, members, and volunteers.
• Develop cooperative relationships with patients and families, projecting a positive and professional image.
• Create communications and promotional materials such as newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
• Prepare periodic reports, financial statements, and records for management or external agencies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect hospital business information.
• Oversee supply levels in unit and supply rooms.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding university assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Professional composure in difficult or stressful situations.
• Effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and university policies.
