About the role

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Oncology provides expert medication management for oncology patients, mentors pharmacy staff, and supports direct patient care to ensure optimal drug therapy. This full‑time, day‑shift position works closely with multidisciplinary teams to resolve medication‑use problems across all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, identify patients with special medication needs, and coordinate delivery of drug therapy, including extracorporeal therapies.
• Serve on patient‑care committees, recommend and implement practice improvements, and promote formulary use.
• Perform outcome‑directed therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic monitoring according to established guidelines.
• Monitor for drug‑drug, drug‑nutrient, and drug‑laboratory interactions and communicate findings to the care team.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.
• Develop and deliver education for patients, caregivers, pharmacists, residents, and students.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in oncology or specialty pharmacy.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and educate pharmacy staff and trainees.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting therapeutic drug levels and pharmacokinetic data.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and participation in professional societies.
