Clinical Pharmacist – GI Oncology (Outpatient)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full‑time Clinical Pharmacist to join the GI Oncology outpatient team at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The pharmacist will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to adult oncology patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Select and order oncology medications, create treatment regimens, and monitor therapy for safety and efficacy.
• Provide drug information, toxicity management, and patient/family education on administration schedules.
• Develop and maintain formulary guidelines, protocols, pathways, and Beacon reviews.
• Conduct outcome evaluations, quality‑improvement projects, and research initiatives.
• Precept PGY‑2 Oncology residents, mentor PGY‑1 residents and pharmacy students.
• Participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and other departmental subcommittees.

Required profile

• Active Florida pharmacist license.
• Pharm.D. from an accredited College of Pharmacy (or grandfathered license holder).
• Experience in oncology pharmacy practice preferred.
