Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Intake Team

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator on the Intake Team provides essential nursing care and coordination for children entering the UAMS Kids First program. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless clinical experiences for patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process to manage complex patient care, including medication administration and procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, document growth, nutrition, and health data, and monitor trends.
• Coordinate care with referral sources, medical directors, dietitians, physicians, and other UAMS resources.
• Engage families using family‑centered care principles and provide education, including CPR classes.
• Support student training and act as a resource for health, safety, and infection control.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Nursing with at least two years of RN experience.
• Current Arkansas RN license.
• Current CPR instructor certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
