Clinical Licensed Social Worker (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth is seeking a full‑time Clinical Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) to provide mental health support, counseling, and case management to patients at the UHealth Medical Campus. The role involves direct patient interaction, assessments, and coordination of resources to improve emotional and behavioral health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for clients and connect them with community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and therapy to patients.
• Conduct psycho‑social assessments, diagnoses, and suitability evaluations.
• Coach patients on managing chronic health conditions.
• Complete disability, workers’ compensation, Medicaid waiver, and other governmental forms.
• Identify and report abuse or neglect to appropriate state agencies.
• Refer patients to public or private agencies and follow up on referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid State of Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
