Clinical Instructor – Otolaryngology

About the role

The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Miami School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Clinical Instructor. This faculty position combines extensive patient care with teaching responsibilities, supporting residents in both clinic and operating‑room settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct otolaryngology patient care, including night and weekend on‑call duties.
• Staff residents in clinics and operating rooms, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Teach and train residents within the Otolaryngology Training Program.
• Assume appropriate administrative duties related to the academic program.
• Supervise and mentor junior residents and medical students in clinical tasks.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with completion of an ACGME‑accredited otolaryngology residency in the United States.
• Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology.
• Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or Medical Faculty Certificate.
• DEA certification.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in otolaryngology.
• Experience in teaching and resident supervision.
• Ability to manage on‑call responsibilities and emergency cases.
