About the role
The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Miami School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Clinical Instructor. This faculty position combines extensive patient care with teaching responsibilities, supporting residents in both clinic and operating‑room settings.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct otolaryngology patient care, including night and weekend on‑call duties.
- Staff residents in clinics and operating rooms, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Teach and train residents within the Otolaryngology Training Program.
- Assume appropriate administrative duties related to the academic program.
- Supervise and mentor junior residents and medical students in clinical tasks.
Required profile
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with completion of an ACGME‑accredited otolaryngology residency in the United States.
- Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology.
- Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or Medical Faculty Certificate.
- DEA certification.
Required skills
- Clinical expertise in otolaryngology.
- Experience in teaching and resident supervision.
- Ability to manage on‑call responsibilities and emergency cases.
