About the role
The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Clinical Instructor in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck) to join its faculty. The role combines hands‑on surgical patient care with teaching responsibilities for residents, medical students, and allied health staff.
Key responsibilities
- Provide peri‑operative patient care on both supervised and independent bases across facial plastics, rhinology, and neurotology procedures.
- Offer emergency coverage for otolaryngology patients as needed.
- Teach and mentor house officers, medical students, and paramedical personnel.
- Develop and deliver formal didactic sessions, including core curriculum lectures, grand rounds, and teaching conferences.
- Complete a research project suitable for publication and fulfill all additional departmental requirements.
Required profile
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified otolaryngologist with expertise in head and neck surgery.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine and clinical education.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
