Clinical Instructor – Neurology & Stroke

About the role

The University of Miami School of Medicine seeks a full‑time Clinical Instructor on the clinical educator track within the Cerebrovascular Division of Neurology. The role combines inpatient and outpatient clinical care, teaching, and research mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the stroke inpatient service at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jackson South and West, and University of Miami Hospital.
• Deliver outpatient services at Neurology satellite clinics and Jackson South Medical Center.
• Mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical practice and academic research.
• Develop and execute a clinical research project, present findings at national meetings, and pursue publication.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, billing processes, and departmental conferences.

Required profile

• MD degree from an accredited institution (or foreign equivalent).
• U.S. citizenship or legal residency.
• Completion of a one‑year Stroke Fellowship; Neurology board certification strongly recommended.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in stroke and cerebrovascular care.
• Ability to mentor and teach medical trainees.
• Research design, data collection, and presentation skills.
