Clinical Faculty – Hepatology (Open Rank)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an experienced hepatology physician to join the Division of Hepatology as Clinical Faculty (Open Rank). The role involves direct patient care for adult transplant patients and participation in medical education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care to adult pre‑ and post‑transplant patients at the Miami Transplant Institute and satellite clinics.
• Deliver inpatient care to adult pre‑ and post‑transplant patients at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Attend multidisciplinary transplant conferences and rounds.
• Precept medical students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Contribute to undergraduate and graduate medical education programs.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency.
• Board‑certified in Hepatology (ABIM).
• Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Commitment to maintain CME requirements and meet institutional licensing standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication with staff, patients, and families.

• Experience in academic teaching and mentorship.
