Clinical Faculty – Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist

About the role

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Faculty member in Cardiology with expertise in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. This full‑time, open‑rank position will support the growth of the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation programs at UHealth and the Miami Transplant Institute.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with advanced heart failure, including transplant evaluation and post‑transplant management.
• Manage ventricular assist devices (VADs) and oversee long‑term follow‑up of non‑transplant candidates.
• Develop and conduct research projects that advance the field of heart failure and transplantation.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in a collaborative academic environment.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible in Cardiology with a strong clinical background in heart failure.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research and a commitment to education.
• Experience in transplant evaluation, VAD management, and long‑term patient follow‑up.
