Clinical Engineering Technician II

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician II to support the UAMS Health facilities in Benton and Bryant. This full‑time position works varied shifts and contributes to the safe and effective use of medical equipment across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of clinical equipment.
• Assist with equipment installation, testing, and documentation.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot device issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure equipment meets patient care needs.

Required profile

• Relevant technical education or experience in clinical/biomedical engineering.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
