Clinical Director – Substance Use Disorder Treatment

About the role

Camp Baer, a new retreat‑style substance‑use disorder treatment center opening in winter 2026, is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to shape its clinical culture from day one. Reporting to Wise Path Recovery Centers leadership, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care in a peaceful, nature‑focused setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and oversight of the clinical department.
• Establish and nurture a therapeutic culture centered on dignity, accountability, connection, and long‑term recovery.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve evidence‑based, trauma‑informed treatment programs.
• Oversee assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, family engagement, discharge planning, and continuing‑care coordination.
• Ensure clinical services align with patient needs, treatment plans, and appropriate levels of care.
• Participate actively on the interdisciplinary treatment team and collaborate with senior behavioral‑health leaders.

Required profile

• Significant experience in clinical leadership within substance‑use disorder or behavioral‑health settings.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop high‑performing clinical teams.
• Strong commitment to person‑centered, evidence‑based care and trauma‑informed practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy, integrity, and teamwork.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of evidence‑based substance‑use disorder treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in developing clinical protocols, assessment tools, and treatment plans.
• Experience with program launch or startup environments is a plus.
