About the role

The University of Miami Health System in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Clinical Business Operations Representative 2 to support daily clinical operations. The role ensures smooth pre‑ and post‑patient care processes, handles administrative duties, and provides courteous service to patients and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the department in managing expectations for pre‑ and post‑patient care.
• Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and referral information.
• Review clinical records for completeness, including authorizations and signatures.
• Answer multiple telephone lines, triage calls, respond to inquiries, and document messages.
• Greet visitors, direct callers, and provide accurate information.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve problems and maintain efficient workflow.
• Provide coverage for co‑workers as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of relevant administrative or clinical support experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends when required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
