Clinical Business Operations Representative 3 – Hybrid

About the role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Clinical Business Operations Representative 3 to support daily clinical operations in a hybrid work setting. The role focuses on efficient patient management, administrative support, and coordination of clinical services.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with physicians, APRNs, nurses, and patients to arrange treatments, schedule tests, appointments, procedures, and referrals.
• Tri­age patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate clinical staff.
• Schedule patient diagnostics (lab, imaging, MRI, nuclear medicine, psychosocial assessments) across UMHC and JMH facilities.
• Manage and scan external medical records into the online system, ensuring timely availability for clinic staff.
• Answer calls using the NICE inContact phone system, transfer calls, and leave clear messages for clinical teams.
• Perform light administrative duties such as sorting faxes and supporting coverage for administrative staff.
• Provide courteous, professional assistance to patients in both English and Spanish.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant administrative or clinical support experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the NICE inContact phone system.
• Data‑entry accuracy with minimal errors.
• Experience scanning and uploading medical records into electronic systems.
