Clinical Business Operations Representative 2

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Surgery seeks a full‑time Clinical Business Operations Representative 2 to support daily clinical operations. The role focuses on resolving pre‑ and post‑care issues, managing patient information, and providing front‑desk support while ensuring compliance with departmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and referral information.
• Review clinical records for completeness, including authorizations and signatures.
• Answer multiple telephone lines, triage calls, respond to inquiries, and document messages.
• Maintain on‑call, clinic, and OR schedules in Outlook and ensure continuous patient coverage.
• Process physician leave requests, standing orders, and coordinate vaccine records and medical licenses.
• Support credentialing, compliance documentation, and audit preparation.
• Handle reimbursements, discretionary funds, and invoice reconciliation in Workday.
• Assist with educational events, graduation ceremonies, and research day coverage.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant administrative or clinical support experience.
• Strong data‑entry accuracy and ability to organize and analyze information.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Data entry proficiency.
• Experience with Workday HR/finance system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for calendar management.
