About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Psychiatry seeks a full‑time Clinical Business Operations Representative to support daily clinical operations in Miami, FL. The role ensures smooth pre‑ and post‑patient care processes while delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage expectations surrounding pre‑ and post‑patient care.
• Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and referral information.
• Review clinical records for completeness, including authorizations and signatures.
• Answer multiple departmental phones, triage calls, document messages, and direct inquiries.
• Greet visitors, handle inquiries, and route them appropriately.
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems and maintain efficient workflow.
• Provide coverage for co‑workers as needed.
• Maintain a call response rate of 90% or higher using NICE InContact.
• Support providers with clinical preparation, appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, and timely distribution of clinical letters.
• Respond promptly to internal emails and uphold confidentiality and university policies.
