About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing for a nine‑month, non‑tenure‑track appointment. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction, advising, mentoring, and evaluating nursing students across the program.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in accordance with curriculum standards.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to nursing students.
- Develop and assess student learning outcomes, assignments, and examinations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing nursing education.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing with active enrollment in a Master’s program, OR a Master’s degree in nursing, OR a Doctoral degree in nursing (Ph.D. or EdD).
- Current, unencumbered Arkansas RN license or multi‑state compact RN license, or ability to obtain Arkansas licensure before start date.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, student development, and scholarly activity.
