About the role

The Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University seeks a full‑time Clinical Assistant Professor of Fashion Design to join its Phoenix campus for the 2026‑27 academic year. This career‑track faculty position involves teaching, research, and service, with opportunities to shape new curricula and mentor undergraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate fashion design courses in‑person and, when appropriate, in online or hybrid formats.
• Develop and deliver new courses aligned with personal expertise and departmental needs.
• Mentor and advise students on design projects, collections, and career pathways.
• Contribute to departmental research initiatives and scholarly activities.
• Participate in service activities for ASU FIDM, the Herberger Institute, and the broader university community, including potential leadership roles.
