Clinical Assistant – Medical Oncology (Genitourinary)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time faculty member to join the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role focuses on clinical care, research, and academic duties related to genitourinary malignancies and other solid tumors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinic sessions and inpatient attending coverage at the main campus or affiliated sites.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities, and teaching across UM schools.
• Develop and lead clinical and translational research collaborations, including grant writing and manuscript preparation.
• Expand the center’s clinical trials portfolio as an investigator and principal investigator, especially in genitourinary cancers.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Eligibility for a Florida medical license.
• Demonstrated excellence in patient care, peer‑reviewed publications, and potential to serve as a principal investigator.
• National recognition or experience in clinical trial development and personalized medicine.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in medical oncology, particularly genitourinary malignancies.
• Experience designing and conducting clinical trials.
• Ability to secure research funding and publish scientific findings.
