Clinical Adjunct Instructor - Undergraduate Nursing

About the role

The Jefferson College of Nursing is seeking a Clinical Adjunct Instructor to provide high-quality clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students in a variety of clinical settings. The instructor guides students in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world healthcare scenarios, assesses their performance and fosters a supportive learning environment, working closely with the nursing program faculty and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction and supervise nursing students across different clinical settings
• Guide students in applying theory to real-world healthcare scenarios
• Assess student performance and foster a supportive learning environment
• Work with nursing program faculty and staff to ensure the success of the clinical component of the program

Required profile

• BSN required; a Master's degree in nursing is highly preferred, and candidates without one must be currently enrolled in a master's nursing program
• Eligible or currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania or hold a Compact Nursing License
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Evidence of ongoing clinical competency
• Enthusiasm for teaching future nurses in clinical settings

Required skills

• Use of contemporary and innovative teaching methods in classroom, simulation and clinical settings
• Participation in professional activities related to clinical expertise
