Clinic Athletic Trainer 2 – Orthopedics Sports Medicine

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth – Orthopedics Sports Medicine at SoLé Mia is seeking a Clinic Athletic Trainer 2 to join its multidisciplinary team. Working under the supervision of attending physicians, you will provide direct patient care for musculoskeletal and sports‑related injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical assessments for acute and chronic injuries.
• Perform range‑of‑motion, manual muscle, neurovascular, and functional testing.
• Present cases and imaging results to supervising physicians.
• Execute standing orders for imaging, labs, referrals, and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
• Provide patient education on rehabilitation exercises and use of orthopedic appliances.
• Fit and educate patients on splints, crutches, braces, wraps, and other DMEs.
• Perform wound care, gait training, casting application and removal, and suture removal.

Required profile

• Licensed Athletic Trainer with clinical evaluation and educational expertise.
• Experience working in a physician‑directed practice, preferably in orthopedics or sports medicine.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.
