Clinic Assistant – Imaging Services (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full‑time Clinic Assistant to support Imaging Services. You will ensure smooth patient flow, maintain accurate records, and assist the healthcare team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and accurately assemble patient charts.
• Record clinical data per hospital policy and transcribe doctors’ orders.
• Check charts for incomplete histories or operative summaries and report issues.
• Order and manage unit supplies, receive and distribute inventory.
• Obtain laboratory and X‑ray reports and notify physicians of results.
• Use IDX RIS/PACS to track patient arrivals and inform front‑desk staff of delays.
• Greet patients, verify information, and guide them to changing areas, ensuring removal of metal items.
• Assist with copying and distributing patient paperwork to appropriate reading rooms.
• Adhere to University and unit policies, safeguarding assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in a clinical or administrative setting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize under pressure, and discretion with confidential information.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and on‑call as needed.
