Client Manager - Commercial Insurance

About the role

The Client Manager provides advanced technical support to the Client Executive Service and continues to perform Client Administrator duties for existing clients, working with other team members. The role may also involve acting as a Client Executive Service for assigned accounts, preparing and delivering renewal and new business presentations. The position is based in San Diego.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Client Administrator duties at an above-average level, helping the Client Executive analyze coverages and claims data for new and renewal business.
• Prepare renewal specifications and rough draft proposals, and assist with or manage the marketing of renewals as directed.
• Prepare experience modification projections using Intellicomp or similar software, and review accuracy of experience modification calculations from state rating agencies.
• Review policy checking notes, correct policies as needed, and deliver them to clients by email, in person or through an online portal.
• Assist with Stewardship Reports, review loss run and claim status reports, and prepare Loss Summaries and Large Loss Reports.
• Visit clients periodically with the Client Executive, take part in new business and renewal preparation and presentation, and help collect accounts receivable.
• Participate in E&O audits and maintain positive working relationships with associates and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years of daily client service, or 3 years of industry experience with increasing responsibility and 2-3 years of daily client service.
• Valid unrestricted California Fire & Casualty Solicitors license.
• Excellent understanding of insurance terminology, brokerage functions and commercial insurance lines.
• Ability to sit at a desk for long periods, use office equipment, and occasional overnight travel to client sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Advanced insurance designations strongly preferred, with a willingness to pursue continuing education.
