Class A Linehaul Truck Driver – Home Daily

About the role

R+L Carriers is hiring Class A Linehaul Drivers for its Kearny, NJ service center. Drivers pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and turn‑point locations, delivering freight and returning home each day.

Key responsibilities

• Operate van and double trailers safely on linehaul routes.
• Transport freight between R+L service centers and designated turn‑points.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Complete pre‑employment road test, DOT physical and drug screening.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (MVR, PSP) with no serious violations and no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
• Age 23 (or 21 if eligible under FMCSA military transition rules).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to work home‑daily schedule.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Double trailer handling.
• Hazmat endorsement (preferred).
