Claims Consultant – Property & Casualty

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Claims Consultant for Property & Casualty in Alpharetta, Georgia. You will manage complex claims for a minimum of 25 client accounts, from intake through resolution, and act as a trusted claims specialist for clients and the team. Applicants must live within driving distance of an MMA Southeast office and be able to commute to the office at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Track and update claims using Origami and obtain policy copies with EPIC
• Handle high-complexity claims and follow up on open property, general liability and auto claims
• Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients and prepare materials for claim review and stewardship meetings
• Collaborate with the Claims Intake Team and travel to client locations for review meetings
• Build relationships with producers and carriers, and share claims expertise with clients and colleagues
• Monitor claims trends with Claims Insights and share loss statistics and cost-reduction insights with marketing, sales and service teams

Required profile

• Multi-line carrier or brokerage claims experience required
• Minimum 7 years of Property & Casualty claims experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Professional designations a plus
• Property and Casualty Adjuster license or willingness to obtain within 90 days

• Proficiency with systems of record, web-based tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Analytical, project management and negotiation skills
