Claims Advocate - Property & Casualty Claims

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Claims Advocate for Property & Casualty claims in Alpharetta. You will handle low-complexity claims from intake through resolution, manage several client accounts and follow up on open property, general liability and auto claims. Applicants must live within driving distance of an MMA Southeast office and be able to commute at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Use Origami to track and update claims and EPIC to obtain policy copies for assigned accounts.
• Manage and resolve low-complexity claims from intake through resolution.
• Monitor and manage multiple client accounts.
• Follow up proactively on open property, general liability and auto claims to ensure timely resolution.
• Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients to secure favorable outcomes.
• Apply a proactive coverage mindset to casualty claims, anticipating issues and strengthening client results.
• Develop loss analysis reports such as Loss Summaries.
• Prepare materials for claim review and stewardship meetings.
• Collaborate with the Claims Intake Team on accurate, timely claim reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any field or 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Prior insurance (brokerage or carrier) experience preferred.
• Property and Casualty Adjuster license or willingness to obtain it within 90 days.
• Excellent organization, time management, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to research and analyze problems independently, multi-task with attention to detail, and self-check work for accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to learn Origami and EPIC systems.
