Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Texas A&M University System seeks a Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator to support its 12 universities, health science center, and state agencies. Reporting to the Executive Director, Civil Rights Compliance, you will advise, train, and assist system members on civil‑rights policies and Anti‑DEI law compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist implementation of civil‑rights compliance policies and procedures across the System.
• Monitor system‑wide compliance with the Anti‑DEI Law, evaluate member processes, and provide risk‑mitigation guidance.
• Review allegations of DEI violations and route them for appropriate action.
• Support the SB‑17 annual certification process through quarterly reports and yearly submissions.
• Conduct periodic Anti‑DEI compliance reviews at member institutions and agencies.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external civil‑rights cases, maintaining records and resources.

Required profile

• Experience advising or supporting civil‑rights compliance in a higher‑education or governmental setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and Texas Anti‑DEI legislation.
• Ability to develop and deliver training and consultative guidance.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
