About the role

Marshall Dennehey is seeking a Civil Defense Attorney specializing in casualty litigation to join its Philadelphia team. This full‑time associate position offers early responsibility on high‑stakes cases for Fortune 500 clients, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions and conduct client interviews.
• Draft, file, and argue substantive motions.
• Manage litigation from inception through resolution under senior attorney guidance.
• Handle a variety of matters including premises and retail liability, product liability, rideshare incidents, construction defects, and commercial auto/trucking disputes.
• Collaborate closely with senior shareholders and associate peers to develop case strategy.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in casualty or defense work.
• Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently on complex, multi‑claim cases while meeting deadlines.
• Commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and continuous professional development.
