Marshall Dennehey is seeking an experienced Civil Defense Attorney to join its Tampa office. The role focuses on defending a broad range of general liability and casualty matters for corporate and insurance clients. Collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth are core to the team’s culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defending general liability and casualty claims.
• Participate in case strategy development and client interaction.
• Work closely with senior shareholders and associates to gain hands‑on trial experience.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Support first‑chair trial work as needed while progressing toward full case management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of litigation experience, including some first‑chair trial exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective defenses.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
