Child Development Technician

About the role

The Child Development Technician provides direct care and developmental interventions for children birth to age 5 with developmental delays and special medical needs in the Kids First clinic in Warren, AR.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care including feeding, diapering, dressing, and mealtime assistance.
• Provide developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Create engaging learning environments and apply early childhood curriculum to meet each child’s objectives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED with at least six months of experience caring for children, or related education (CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, etc.).
• Pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, TB test, and provide required immunizations.
• Strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of early childhood curriculum.
• Ability to identify educational and developmental needs of children.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with parents, staff, and other professionals.
