About the role
The University of Miami Department of Psychology seeks a full‑time Child Development Specialist to join the Linda Ray Intervention Center in Miami, FL. You will work directly with children, families, and educators to assess developmental needs, provide therapy, and guide caregivers toward effective strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop reports, set goals, and deliver direct therapy.
- Provide consultation to parents, teachers, and community professionals regarding progress and recommendations.
- Implement the Florida FLEPIC coaching model and support early‑intervention staff.
- Perform developmental screenings and eligibility assessments using standardized tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and monitor Individualized Family Support Plans (IFSPs).
- Maintain accurate patient data entry and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
