Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - 1099 Contractor (Virtual)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates is looking for a contract child and adolescent psychiatrist to join its virtual provider network. You will deliver evidence-based care through live 60-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management. Patients are referred to evidence-based therapy and coaching services alongside your care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
• Use proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and mood disorders.
• Educate families, involve them in care planning and guide them on supportive measures at home.
• Deliver virtual psychiatric sessions and maintain regular contact with members and families.
• Take part in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning and support other team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans and progress notes, using data analytics to improve care quality.
• Stay compliant with regulatory and quality standards and pursue ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Board-certified or board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.
• Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents and young adults.
• Commitment to culturally responsive care.
• Familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and ability to practice within an accredited framework.

Required skills

• Telehealth and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, DoxyMe, Skype).
• Preferred: prior experience providing telehealth therapy services.
